“There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
— Robert Frank
Taking a portrait that matches a client with their brand is one of the most gratifying things in my work. A client needs to be able to identify who is behind the brand to connect with it. The first step in that connection is the portrait.
Capturing a beautiful portrait that reflects you and your brand without it looking like a generic school picture can be difficult, but having a portrait that shows who you are is well worth it.
As humans, we are (me included) very self-conscious about our image.
This means taking an appealing portrait takes time!
In a world of selfies and everything at our fingertips, we expect a good image in one click.
But preparation (choosing the proper clothing, hairstyle, and makeup ), building a mood board, and understanding expectations, are critical elements to beautiful pictures you can use for years with your brand.
I will work with you on poses and fun, spontaneous moments. When we’re taking pictures, there are no wrong poses! But before we start, we will discuss guidelines and comfort meters between you and me.
Together we will create pictures that capture you. My favorite moment after a photoshoot is when I hear my client say, “Oh, I love this one,” as their eyes light up. My number one priority is being proud of how they look and represent themselves and their brand.
